"Bid with Bergen" offers a unique and engaging platform for players of all skill levels to enhance their bidding techniques and partnerships in bridge. The application features the InApp purchase "Bid with Bergen (1)," which includes 150 hands to practice with either a partner or independently, accompanied by instant feedback from an expert on your performance and guidance for improvement. It is a versatile tool that fits into any player's schedule, providing an enjoyable way to engage with the game.

Users have the flexibility to apply their preferred bidding methods, emphasizing that effective bidding ultimately relies on sound judgment. After each auction, the program displays a summary table of potential contracts along with scores (ranging from 0 to 10). More importantly, it provides suggested auctions and evaluations from Marty Bergen, who also offers recommendations on optimal hand management. All results and scores are stored for future reference.

When engaging in auctions with a partner, it is beneficial to review and discuss the outcomes objectively. This reflective approach can significantly enhance partnership dynamics, replicating the practices of expert pairs who seek continual improvement.

While it is natural to concentrate on scores and personal performance, players focused on learning should prioritize thorough analysis and self-reflection following each session. While achieving good results is gratifying, the ultimate goal remains to develop stronger bidding skills.

About Marty Bergen
Marty Bergen is a distinguished U.S. bridge teacher, player, and author. With ten national championships under his belt, he holds titles such as ACBL Grand Life Master and World Bridge Federation World International Master. Since retiring from competitive play in 1993, Bergen has dedicated himself to education and writing, recently being recognized as one of the 22 most influential figures in bridge history.

Since 1976, Marty has contributed a column to the ACBL Bridge Bulletin and has authored 69 bridge books, two of which have been awarded the ABTA Bridge Book of the Year. Notable titles include "Points Schmoints!: Bergen's Winning Bridge Secrets" (1996) and "Declarer Play the Bergen Way" (2005).
